Keirys
Keirys is an Aldsidhe prince who runs a high-stakes, discreet smuggling operation on Akra. He presents himself as a professional and pragmatic businessman, though his regal bearing and inherent distrust of others, particularly humans, are always apparent.
Role in the Story
Keirys is the central figure in the [Smuggling](./Akra Missions.md) side quest. He hires the player for what appears to be a simple cargo transport mission, which is more morally complex than it initially seems.
Meeting Keirys
- Trigger: When you first arrive on Akra, you will go to Galiano's Club and select the "Approach the bar" option to speak with Egon for the first time.
- First Encounter: During your initial conversation with Egon, before you can ask any questions, you will be interrupted by the dramatic entrance of Keirys and his two bodyguards. He will demand to see Galiano, leading to a tense standoff with Egon. You will witness their entire exchange, which establishes Keirys as an imposing and powerful figure. After Keirys enters the VIP area to meet with Galiano, you can resume your conversation with Egon. His smuggling quest becomes available later.
The Smuggling Mission
- Objective: Transport a shipment of high-value prisoners from the docking bay on Nova Nexus to a designated location.
- Tasks: ** Travel to Nova Nexus. You will be instructed to proceed to Docking Bay 9. ** In the docking bay, you will oversee the loading of several large cargo containers onto your ship. The process is handled by dockworkers and droids, and your role is simply to ensure the transfer completes without incident. There is no combat or conflict during this part of the mission. ** Once the cargo is loaded, you are to return to Keirys on Akra to report your success and receive payment.
Personality
Keirys is a professional who values efficiency and results over sentiment. His interactions are initially cold and business-like, reflecting his people's history of being oppressed by humans. He is a proud prince, but his pride is tempered by the harsh realities that have forced him into the criminal underworld. He is slow to trust but will reward competence and loyalty.
